LLB, BSc (Psych), GDipBusStud (Dispute Resolution)
Following an extended OE, Courtney returned to New Zealand to study at Victoria where she graduated with a BSc in psychology in 2007 and an LLB in 2008. Courtney was admitted to the bar in May 2008.
After starting her career at a general practice law firm, Courtney joined Cooper Legal in June 2009.
In 2012, Courtney completed a Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution and is currently working towards her Masters of Philosophy in Law.
Courtney has prepared legal submissions, appeared as junior counsel in the High Court, and has been involved in the trial preparation, interlocutory hearings and ADR mediations and negotiations.
Courtney works mainly in the area of historic claims in relation to Social Welfare, church organisations, and educational facilities.
Courtney also works in the area of ACC sensitive claims, challenging ACC decisions, drafting submissions and attending review hearings.
